Silhouette Sunday: Lioness Rhinestone Tank top

Published by Piglet under Crafts,Silhouette

So my friend Coco is a lioness. It’s kinda an inside joke, but it’s cuz she’s fierce. I felt the need to emblazon this on a shirt for her so she could advertise this to everyone else. Plus it gave me an excuse to try out my rhinestones. I started by laying out the words [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Tent Cards

Published by Piglet under Silhouette

You may recall that last week I posted about my Chicken Tikka Masala Cook-Off. One of the ways I made it special was by creating little themed tent cards to label each dish with its number. At first I was going to cut the design out of the tent card and put a piece of [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Window Box

Published by Piglet under Silhouette

I was going to post about my tent cards from my Chicken Tikka Masala Cook-Off on Friday, but since this is Valentine’s themed, I wanted to give people a chance to make it in time for Valentine’s Day if they needed to. So I needed a box to give some raspberry jam to a friend [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Heat Transfer Tests on Bags

Published by Piglet under Crafts,Silhouette

Last time I tried heat transfer, I tried some of the Sihouette brand flocked heat transfer on my pants. I’ve had some peeling issues on certain parts and wanted to try some other brands of stuff just to see how they work and because some of the other brands have more variety in color (and [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Laptop Decals

Published by Piglet under Silhouette

My husband and I both have identical computers (yes, they’re CR-48s, the cool ChromeOS machine from Google). So in order to tell them apart, I made some slick vinyl decals for them. Hubby wanted the Incognito man and I decided just to go with a simple flower. I created the Incognito man graphic myself and [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Thank You Note with Envelope

Published by Piglet under Silhouette

I needed to send a thank you note to someone at work for a Secret Santa gift, and I thought, why not make the note myself on my Silhouette? I’d been wanting to try this sort of card where the letters stick out from the main area. I designed both the card and envelope myself [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Flowered Pants

Published by Piglet under Silhouette

I’ve been itching to try out the heat transfer I got. So I went on to the online store and picked out this cute flower [rough_flower_C00014_27011]. I hate wasting so I copied a bunch of the leaves on the flower and made copies which I then ran down the side of the leg of those [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Bathroom Wall Art

Published by Piglet under Silhouette

In our guest bathroom, we have a toilet which is attached to the wall (the kind where the tank is actually in the wall). When we received this toilet it was accompanied by a warning which said there was a 400 lbs. weight limit to prevent it from being ripped out of the wall. Not [...]

Silhouette Etching Tutorial

Published by Piglet under Crafts,How To,Silhouette

I’ve put together a tutorial for how to etch glass using the Silhouette machine to make stencils. It’s super easy! I’ve also put up a video which shows me doing all the steps since sometimes it’s easier to see someone do it. Let’s get started . . . Get your monogram ready The firs step [...]

Silhouette Sunday: Etched Low Ball Glass

Published by Piglet under Crafts,Silhouette

My second attempt at doing anything with my Silhouette was etching some glass. I really wanted monogramed glasses and now I can have them saying anything I want. I’ve got a tutorial in the works so you can see how I did it that I’ll post later this week. Update: I posted the tutorial.
