So, I went a little crazy making cupcakes for the bake sale as well.
If this isn’t plainly obvious by the number of cupcakes I made:

I decided to try the Billy’s Vanilla, Vanilla Cupcakes once again, this time with cake flour and a full recipe. I think they came out much better tasting. I also tried the buttercream again, this time full recipe. Once again, came out tasting much better, much less sweet. I had some fun with the frosting, piping flowers and swirlies. But I think the frosting needed just a bit more something to make it stiffer as most of the frosting kinda melted into itself. But it still tasted good. |
I also decided to try using my ice cream cone cupcake mold which you can see at the top of this post. They came out cute (although the melt-y frosting thwarted me a bit). But they had to bake a lot longer.
