(Ignore the staple in this picture.) Press open. Center bias strip over seam. It should be a bit wider than the seam allowances. In this case 1.5" to a 5/8" seam allowance. Pin bias strip down. Stitch on front, using normal seam length, with edge of presser foot along seam. Do this on both sides. Press. Remove the basting stitches. Press again if desired.
