So I entered my LED collar in a sewing contest on Pattern Review. My first entry into one of their contests. I wish I had made my dog bed just 2 weeks later because the contest is for sewing for your pet and the bed came out really awesome. But it has to be items you sewed between September 1 and 16. Oh, well.
Anyhow, here’s the review I wrote up for the pattern.
Pattern Company: Creative Designworks
Pattern: Classic Dog Collar
Pattern Description:
A simple basic dog collar.
Pattern Sizing:
Includes sizing for tiny dogs all the way up to huge dogs. But you’ll need to buy the correct hardware for your dog size.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Looks just like it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Very simple. Very detailed instructions.
Fabric Used:
Debbie Mumm quilting cotton.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
For this version of it, I added LEDs along with a switch and battery pack. See how I did this here on my blog post about it. This also resulted in eliminating the D-ring.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Definitely. This is already the third or fourth time I’ve sewn it.
Conclusion:
Great easy pattern. Easy to build off of and be creative with.
