It’s been a bit since I posted but that’s because time is weird in a pandemic. Here’s another Grace Circle charity quilt finish. For this one, I asked the circle members to make me a strawberry block using this tutorial. They came out so super cute! I put them in a brick pattern.
The quilting on this one was done by Lucky Penny Quilting. With shelter in place right now, I can’t get to the longarm rental, so in the interest of getting things done, I’m outsourcing some parts. Lucky Penny did an amazing job and has fantastic customer service. I’ve already had her do another quilt and I’ve got at least 2 more waiting in the wings that I just need to finish prepping. This doesn’t mean I’m done with quilting myself. I’m probably splitting it half and half depending on the quilt.
For the binding, I just used a simple green border. It was some fabric I had in my stash and really brought out the green in the stems.
And the back is one of my favorite parts. I had one extra strawberry and it’s so cute next to the embroidered quilt label.
Adorable, I love it! The backing design is so sweet and fun!
