Here’s the other Pattern Emporium Shoreline Top that I made (I posted the other one yesterday). I’m not going to talk too much about the pattern since I talked about it yesterday, but in this version I got to try out a bunch of other options.
The basics first though. This one is also size 8 easy fit in the regular length, but this time with the round neck and pointed pockets. And I did real buttons and buttonholes for this one since I can’t get the round neck over my head. I tried.

My favorite part of this one is the tabbed cuff on the sleeve. I just think it’s so cute. It dresses it up a little, while still keeping it casual.

The fabric is some cotton lawn that I had in my stash from a friend in my quilt guild. I think I had 54” but I was able to make it work. So, as I mentioned, a good stash buster. The cotton definitely has more body than the viscose did, so keep in mind the fabric when picking your size. Just because you measure a certain size doesn’t mean you have to make it. I always recommend looking at the finished measurements.

This one did get picked up by one of my relatives at Thanksgiving, but that’s the beauty of sewing your own clothes — I can always make another one!
