I decided to try the meat pate. It was actually quite good. We also learned that when you order “cheese and potatoes” you get cheese. And you get potatoes. It’s up to you to put them together 🙂

Saw this Tunisian bakery and the desserts looked scrumptious.
We stopped by a small little flower market. Lots of cute things like these little roses. I loved the arrangement of these pretty watering cans. Would love to have something like that in my own garden. More pictures . . .
There were some interesting menu translations. Sweat pan cakes? I had one actually and it was delicious. Or perhaps you would like some cock stew? (Yes, I know that is the literal translation but for silly Americans it still sounds funny since I think the dish is technically made with hens, not roosters.)
Saw this adorable marzipan pig in the store and had to get it. He was filled with a chocolate fig mixture. And he was quite good.
This was a delicious almond croissant. I was so disappointed that they were out of chocolate ones, but then I got a surprise–there was chocolate in this one! Even better than a plain chocolate croissant. Definitely one of the best croissants I’ve ever had.

Loved these adorable French meringues which came in coffee, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, orange, raspberry and pistachio flavors.
The wine was served in these cute stoneware carafes. The small one is 25 cl; the large one is 50 cl. The white wine was a delicious riesling and the red one was a bordeaux.
Yes, I realize the picture isn’t so hot (I was using my camera phone), but the taste was amazing. The cupcake was just a plain vanilla cupcake, but the frosting was amazing.
