This was a delicious almond croissant. I was so disappointed that they were out of chocolate ones, but then I got a surprise–there was chocolate in this one! Even better than a plain chocolate croissant. Definitely one of the best croissants I’ve ever had.

For the aforementioned Memorial Day BBQ, I also made some chocolate chip cookies. I use the Cooks Illustrated recipe. These weren’t as chewy as usual, but still pretty darn good. I also painted the plate. Yes, it’s a plate specifically for chocolate chip cookies–I like them that much 🙂
